Equinox Construction Services (ECS) was involved in the L'Heureux Lake dam replacement project, in collaboration with the contractor Limoges et fils. Major rehabilitation work was required on the dam, serving primarily to manage the lake's water level and the flow of water circulating in the river downstream.
The project also included demolition of the existing dam and construction of a new reinforced concrete structure with water regulation gates and an aluminum walkway. The installation of a safety boom and warning signs were also included. Post-tensioning anchors, blasting, and sealing of a dike were also required.
As part of the project, ECS designed the temporary structures including a cofferdam to keep the work dry, all formwork and all temporary supports. ECS was also responsible for providing Construction Management, Supervision and Supply Chain Management.
