Limoges - L'Heureux Lake Dam - Spillway Gates

Description de projet

The city of St-Colomban, via the contractor Limoges et Fils, mandated Equinox Construction Services (ECS) to manage the L'Heureux Lake dam replacement project. ECS was responsible for managing and monitoring the execution of the project, operating closely with the contractor to ensure the on-time and proper execution of the work. The result - with a dam consisting of 3 independent upward-opening wall gates - was a success, and the customer is fully satisfied. ECS also took charge of quality control and assurance through full-time site supervision.

Gate sizing was a crucial element of the project. An independent company provided detailed shop drawings and sizing while Equinox coordinated all the work, deadlines, and changes to the plans to deliver a functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing product.

The L'Heureux Lake dam is manually operated, and the work required to open its gates is minimal and fluid, thanks to 3 gearboxes and rails on each gate.
